Asking your young daughter to smile for the camera may seem innocent enough, but one mom got more than she bargained for during an early afternoon photoshoot.
Download Free GameMother of three Bianca Dickinson had no clue she was putting her girl Molly's life in closeness to a fatal predator when the combine set out for a pure photoshoot in the heart of the Australian outback. As Dickinson and Molly anticipated the arrival of her two more established kin from school, this unconscious mother represented her little girl before a huge fence. Unbeknownst to Dickinson, there was a six-foot-long eastern dark colored snake just inches far from Molly's feet.
At first glance I didn't recognize anything out of the ordinary with this photo, but upon further inspection, there's no denying that's a huge snake slithering by!
OH MY Golly....snakes are on the move!!! I was out taking a photo of my daughter for Jodie @twinklestardesigns and thought I saw something move! It's really windy here so I thought it was a bit of bark flying from the tree. Looked up to see this massive brown had just passed my 2 year old 😱 I can't believe it didn't touch her!!! Once I was home I checked my camera and found this shot 😳. Photo © Bianca Dickinson 2017
Lucky for Molly she let the entire ordeal unharmed, which is no small feat. Eastern brown snakes are known as the second most venomous terrestrial snakes in the world. They're responsible for about 60 percent of all snake bite deaths in Australia.
Let this picture be a reminder that snakes can be a silent, but deadly threat to our children. Share this photo with other parents in your life!
